ION's requested referral fee is 20% of the fees received on
the referred case after deducting case
expenses passed through to the client
without markup. The minimum requested
referral fee is $25. We previously asked
for 20% of the gross fee.
When a referral of a case results in ongoing business from the
referred client after the initial
referred case, ION appreciates receiving
a 5% commission on the ongoing work.
Re-opens of and multiple billings on the
original referred case are subject to
the full 20% referral fee as described
above.
ION requests a referral fee from all cases referred through
the ION office and from all cases
referred to non ION Members via the
automated referral function of our
online system. Cases not subject to the
referral fee are those received by ION
Members through the automated system
without direct ION staff involvement.
